Speakers on Business and Career Issues '01-'02

High school and college students and young entrepreneurs listen

This past year the Young Professionals Chamber of Commerce has had several guest speakers who addressed captivated audiences. “Finding the Real You”, a program about knowing who you are and where you are going, made an impression on all those present, while “Setting Goals for Yourself” helped participants create a timetable of where they would like to be in the future and how they can get there.

“Dress for Success and Protocol and Etiquette” was quite a success! Learning how to dress and how to conduct yourself in a business atmosphere is something everyone should know. “Interviewing and Networking” are skills that take a very long time and are mastered by very few people, but the young professionals who attended this seminar got a headstart. Confidence and poise don’t always come naturally, but our group members learn fast.

Coming up this year will be many new seminars as well as repeats of our previous ones for all those who missed them or want to expand their skills.
