Suffolk County Police Department Seminar

The Suffolk County Police Department Second Precinct hosted a seminar for members of the Young Professionals Chamber of Commerce. Police Officer Christopher Mangi spoke to these young adults about "How to protect themselves on the streets" and "How to conduct themselves if they are stopped by a police officer" - it doesn't always mean you're in trouble! He impressed upon the group the importance of the Police Department and how they are there to help 24 hours a day. Sergeant Donald Longo stressed the challenges we face within the community and how in light of the war and terrorism we are preparing for anything that could happen locally. The tour of the precinct that followed the meeting was fascinating.
